Much better than the ones I had in.
Are you sure you bough the right ones? Because the gap is the only thing I can think of that would cause a serious drop in MPG's.

Hi there......not sure if this is the correct space for this, first time user?
My '98 XJ 4lt Sport cuts out when working in 4x4 low range or even very hot in 4x2 on tar, say if I am pulling a load, this is not the engine overheating as this is before the fan switches on and is not yet on 100. Could it be the ATF overheating as I have replaced the cam sensor and the other one that the computer indicates as faulty, when replaced the engine still cuts out, then when cooled, can start again.......Please help!!

i use to have the same thing happen to me as the fan kicked on. It is somewhat normal cause of the drain on the alt. Ive corrected my problem by clean the battery terminals and putting dielectric silicone on. How old is your battery btw?

So i have been searching for a transmission, seems the years go 91 to 96 and 98 to 2001. I have a 97 do i have a odd year out or is like half made 96 style half made 98 style?

als check main ground and that the terminals are tight too. If all that is good then yea you might need a new alternator somewhere closely down the line. But if all they do is dim and the battery is getting a good charge still 12-14v when driving then ddont go crazy with the $200 just yet

running Bosch now.
