how can i be sure that it is the fuel pump that's out? it doesn't hum like usual when the key is turned. just need to know what else could cause it before i drop the tank and get myself in a bind. btw its a 90 laredo, and cording to the book i got, it's a TBI thing.

Just bought myself a stock 1999 Cherokee sport with 148k mile
.....big plans yo!

Should i keep this and sell my 2000's with 118k mile

Second question...
Is distributor better than distributorless ignition system?
Thx in advance.

if you have a place to keep an unregistered vehicle keep it for parts. And as for the second question, i find our distributorless system is easier to tune up since we primarily only need plugs and not a cap and boots etc

I've been doing alot of reading on my 2000's since purchased last year and understand most of the minor mechanical aspect of the Jeep but now i have to relearn the distributor system
.Next question is,
What is the factory timing and is there any upgraded distributor coil and cables?
Oh, btw, this 99's supper clean inside and outside, just need a little TLC and she be running like new....so no chance it's gonna be used for parts..
Thx.
