Do they make a special tool for getting this nut out of there? Lol
It's definitely easier if you leave the axle shafts in and the tires on. Keep the weight of the vehicle on the tires and the parking brake applied... that way all you need is ONE tool with a lot of leverage applied versus another tool being a "jam" to keep it from rotating while you're applying leverage.

What's the locker of choice? If these are good, I'll put them in, but the fact that the mechanic I bought the truck from didn't, is troublesome. Nervous Nellie perhaps, but if I'm going to do the front end again (yes, I had to redo after purchase), I want to make sure. Wife won't know till we drive to the bread line.
Pictures would certainly help. Sounds like you may have a lunchbox locker, but we can't really know without seeing what you're seeing.
my blower motor is out temporarily so i can hear the noises from the engine bay a lot better.
here is what happens from time to time when the engine is at operating temperature. it comes from the distributor and have yet to take a look, but anyone experience something similar? wires, distributor cap & rotor have about are about 2 years old.
jeep runs fine, mpg seem to stay the same although sometimes i am under the impression the exhaust smells like it would be running rich. from time to time (happened 3 times maybe in the past 8-9 months) i'll start the jeep and it will run very poorly. i'll shut it off, crank again, it'll crank for a while but when it starts it's completely fine. like i said it happens rarely but maybe worth mentionning.
Saw this in another post and wanted to recreate it to aid in stopping water dripping onto my passenger side. Where would I get a piece of plastic like this? I know its adumb question, but I don't know of somewhere to just get like sheets of thick plastic. Any suggestions?

That or a cutting board. Looks like HDPE - which is what many cutting boards are made out of. Time for a trip to Dollar Tree.
I am rebuilding my Jeep XJ and had a small fire from some grinder sparks and didn't notice until after a few wires got fried. I have not been able to find what the wire plug into and want to know if I need to replace them or if I can just put the carpet down and be done with it. The wires come from the big wiring harness that goes underneath the rear seat. Jeep is a 1998 XJ 5-speed.
Need help!

Reason: Wanted to add arrows for details
I was replacing the steel brake lines that run from the front to the back of my XJ, when I noticed another line rusted and broken. It is one of three lines coming out of a box underneath by the rear driver's side wheel. Can someone let me know what this is, and what line I am going to have to replace? Hopefully, these photos will help identify the troubled part.
Im fairly new and my grandparents bought me a 2009 grand cherokee and i feel like its too new to fix up and add any mods. anyone have any suggenstions on what i should do or just any advice?

Wrong forum. But it's almost 9 years old. That's not really new per se. My brother just bought a 2015 gmc with less then 5k miles, leather and nav andall thatvfancyvstuff. He already lifted it, and we have taken it wheeling already many times. Nothing is too new to mod.

Why? I'm sure plenty of us here could make that grand look respectable. But you want something just for looks? What do you plan on doing? Daily driver obviously but any offroad plans?
