Lol, sorta. Just needed someone to reassure my friend that I know what I'm talking about, and that with some minor adjustments the '93 radiator will work just fine, I am right aren't I?

I tell you you cut a bunch of wires at once and blow a little dinky 15amp fuse and suddenly you don't know anything about cars, even after proving time and time again that I know a lot (about Cherokees at least)

Adjustments? I was under the impression that you just replaced the radiator, hoses, and tank.

The hoses and tank are what I meant. Either converting the pressure tank to be an overflow or getting a new tank made to be an overflow.

Something else you may want to consider:

Get yourself a bottle of ATP AT-205 Re-Seal and throw a little bit in there.

My engine and transmission were leaking like a sieve, and one bottle of that stuff stopped it completely.

I was a non believer until I tried it, but I gotta tell ya, it works.

If it's plugging the leak, what else is it gonna block?

exactly. I bought a jeep, the owner said that it overheated because the radiator was cracked, so he poured in three bottles of Stop-Leak hoping to "fix" the radiator. It ended up clogging all the coolant ports on the head and caused it to blow the head gasket.

I understand three bottles may be a bit excessive but even a single bottle can clog something in addition to stopping a leak.

FIX the leak the proper way!

I don't care for it myself, but most auto mfgs. for many years used a sealer in all cooling systems when filled before they left the line, and still may today IDK for sure. This I know for a fact that GM did so as a cousin of mine was a UAW VP for them and told me.

Hey not trying to hijack anything but I am brand new to this and have some questions. I have a 93 cherokee sport that I just bought. I am thinking about swapping out the front axels that have ujoints for cv axels. I just want it to be a functional driver for the winter. I still plan on having fun with it but not tossing thousands into this one. Any suggestions would be great.

u joints type of shafts is stronger. But if you want cv style. Get it from 93-98 grand Cherokees because the axles are the same width. Those from newer grand Cherokees are too wider

Tryin to pull the evaporator out. This little brass/copper tube is keeping it from coming out. Anybody know how to remove it? There was a sensor attached to it but I accidentally broke it off.

nevermind, I got it out. But now I have another problem. I somehow acidently twisted the evaporator tube. Will it be okay to still use like this?

Also, it seems that new evaporators don't have the hole for the thermistor sensor so what am I suppose to do if I were to get a new one.
