Can anyone please tell me what this wire is for? The orange one barely hanging onto that relay? Found it burnt off, and just kinda stuck the wire back in to see what happened. Couldn't tell if it affected anything. Ran fine and everything with or without it connected.

It's a '90 Cherokee Laredo 4X4, 4.0 straight six, automatic trans., selec-trac. As you can probably see, this is on the passenger side behind the battery. Thank you.

is it leaking from the diff cover or the pionion seal( where the yoke and u joints meet the axle) if its the cover u need a new diff cover seal and if its the pionion seal well then ya need a new one as well, i did my buddys diff and pionion seal 2 days ago and it only took about an hour total in my driveway, did u ever locate the tranny fluid leak?

Default I have a new noise!

Right below my 4wd shift lever I hear a pretty high pitched rattle, whenever I start driving from a dead stop or hit a bump.Anyone had this happen before? Its really annoying! I haven't had the time the last few days to crawl underneath. Does anyone have any ideas?

haha I'm being summoned by name now?

It's likely the switch is starting to get gummed up. You probably just need a new one.

Going to crawl under the jeep today and try to clean the fluids off of my Rear diff and tc as they probably haven't even been touched since 1996.

What do you guys recommend? Soap and water? Engine Degreaser? Steel Wool? A good scrub brush?

Not trying to sound like a tard but I just want to knock it out quick before it rains on me.

Degreaser if you have it, if not some hot soapy (dish soap) water.
