Default leaf spring height when off vehicle

i just picked up a pair of leaf springs from the xj store (jy) for $100. the xj had what looked like some re 3.5" or 4.5" coils (11 coil i think).

re rxt2621 front for 4.5-5.5"

my leaves are sagging bad anyways, so i took the leaves off the back of the donor. i can't tell if they're re leaves or not, but they have way more arch than the ones i have on, as they are frowning. the donor had stock shackles, but re rxt2410 in rear for 3.5-4.5"

from floor to bottom @ center pin (actually top, as leaf is upside down)

from floor to top (actually bottom)

my question is: how different are these from stock (how much lift do you think i'll get. i've done a search, but couldn't come up w/ any solid info. thanks!

Unhappy Gauge Cluster what else to do?

I have spent the last month trying to get my gauge cluster to work properly. I have a 99 Cherokee with 193000 miles. I have read 100's of posts on this problem and have tried the usual fixes but it is still happening.
Symptoms: Tach & Speedometer work less than 10% of time. Airbag light on when tach and speedo not working. Engine gauges were not working until I tried some of the listed fixes.

What I have tried: replaced (soldered in) harness connector and cleaned pins per the TSB. Cleaned the ground attachments at the firewall, rear of engine and side of engine near the dipstick tube. Moved the connectors in front of the mounting plate. With all this everything worked for about 5 miles. The next morning, engine gauges still working but no tach, speedo and airbag light is on. I have jiggled every wire that I could find.
What else to do? Replace cluster? Replace speed sensor? Pour gas over vehicle and light? HELP!!!

Mine did the same thing. I would smack my dash and they would start back workin. I cleaned and re did all connections. Two weeks later same thing. I just replaced the whole cluster and it was fine after that.

Sent from my iPhone because web wheeling is cheaper...

i gotta go back today to pick up the other leaf, as the driver's side front bolt was seized, the yard's gonna cut it for me. i did notice the ss brake lines & the track bar, but funds ran low.

yeah, unfortunately, when you are the only pony show in town, you can set prices as high as you want. the guy i deal w/ is usually pretty honest, but that's their price, no matter what the springs came out of. it would've cost me more in gas to drive anywhere else (redding, sf bay, oregon). i live in a relatively rural area on the nor-cal coast, so i'll take what i can get. at least i took 'em off, otherwise he would've charged an extra $50 for their "removal" service (consisting of a torch & angle grinder)
any thoughts about the lift on the springs?

I would say about 4"-4.5" lift cause they look pretty tall, plus a adj. TB isnt normally needed tell 4-4.5+! On the other hand looks like stock control arms, which tells me its a bastard setup in there! not to mention aren't all RE coils silver like mine???

If you can fit it under that back seat is the best place for the amp imo!

hmmm.....well i'm not sure what brand of coils & leaves are. i went back to grab the other leaf spring today. i don't think it's a bastard pack, as all leaves are tapered on ends (in thickness) as well as having the leaf liners. if it were a bastard, it would probably have a noticable difference (straight cut vs. tapered), right?
i realized that i didn't bring the right tools to grab the t-bar or ss brake lines, so hopefully they will keep that xj around a little longer. (it's been there for over a month) i've already got a KOR double-shear adj. t-bar on my xj, but might pick up the RE one just to have (or sell). i also already have tuff country's 3.5" coils from the po & the JKS ACOS (CL find) ready to go on, so i'm kinda waffling on the jy donor's coils.

This is the back of my new head unit, how do I connect the dual RCA cables for the speakers? I need 4 inputs for the 4 channel amplifier for my speakers....I also might add a small sub later, maybe not though.
