Spray some pb blaster on em, if that doesn't work, get a torch and heat em up. Heat is probably one of the best ways to loosen a stuck bolt

My biggest concern is how much of the electronic components will have to be changed.
I believe one issue might be how it meets up into the TC. And how it comes off the engine but someone can def correct me if I'm wrong

Pop quiz -

Can you get a steering column out of a manual transmission 1989 XJ to work in an automatic transmission 1990 XJ?

Easy way to find out...

1. Need one or two matching wheels to the picture above.

2. How large of tires can you put on a cherokee without adding lift. I don't know all the uses i will have for mine, but i will be using it as a daily work driver in the winter, and most likely some camping. I just can't decide if i want a 3 inch lift or not.

If you gonna use it for camping and if you winters are brutal you can do the lift it's worth it. I think we can do up to 30's without lift or trimming. I have 235/70/16 that's about 29"

the TCU, ECM, and tranny wiring harness will need to be swapped, as will the flexplate, transfer case, and both driveshafts (maybe?). Consoles will need to be adapted for shifter. Dunno what else.

'91 is renix engine management also, so that adds further complications.

You'd be much better off finding another manual YJ if the tranny is bad.

1) those wheels are commonly referred to as "Turbines" - try craigslist. They came on 1984-1991 Cherokees.

2) 235/75R15 M/T fit with no rubbing. I've heard you can fit 30x10.5s with minimal rubbing in the a/t flavor but cannot confirm. My 235s M/Ts do wonderfully with the stock lift on my DD.

There should be a cold and a hot line on the side of the bottle

Thanks Dukie, I had a brain fart. I read a thread talking about water noise at the heater. Someone said it was due to low coolent levels. I have the noise and my coolent is below the lowest line....

Any brand you Recommend? I think for the time being I am just going to stick with the stock Lift untill I learn more and feel comfortable doing one myself. I would like beefier tires though and thanks for the wheel suggestion... What do you do for a living that you recall this information so easily? haha

I have a plethora of Jeep information and links stockpiled on my computer and in my brain.

Personally i run Firestone Destination M/T tires and couldn't be happier with the treadware and performance. Bonus - they look sexy as hell too. The A/T flavor is very good as well.

From a while back - 235/75s fully stuffed, no trimming, no rubbing

Im switching to either a 30 or 31 from a 235/75/15 with a 8.25" in the rear and a 29 spline I believe, its a 98 sport 4 door.
