I currently have a chrysler 8.25 axle in the rear, what gearing is in it? I believe everything is stock still. Im currently running 235's and get about 18 mpg. Can I lift it and put 31's on or will I have to regear or axle swap? If I dont have to change anything, will there be a noticeable decrease in gas mileage?

I'm gonna sec you to a point 97 and after are tuff. But anything out of a later model xj you might as well have a D35 and I have had 33s on my D35 for a year now with no breakage.

if he has a 29 spline rear 8.25 hes fine for 33s. and he would be "OK" with 35s. As long as he dont wheel hard all the time. I have a late modle 96 and i most likely have the 29 spline. The u joints are bigger than normal in my front axle shafts and my rear axle yoke looks diff than 27 spline yokes ive seen. if i do im gonna lock the rear with a no-slip and go 33s.

If I was to reagear it, what gearing would be best for 31's for best mpg and how much would it cost for me to do it myself?

Default New LED headlights, signal stopped working

I installed aftermarket Halo LED and eyebrow projector headlights on a 2001 Grand Cherokede Laredo. Initially all appeared to work. Low beam, high beam, halo, eyebrow and signal light. Next time I turned tha car on, only low and high beams worked. I tapped into my parking/signal light assembly. 2 ground (black) wires from headlight to ground (black) then the 2 white wires to the Minor (parking light) wire of the assembly. Some research indicates I may also need a new flasher relay which can hadle the LED's.
