Ahoy there,

Chrysler renamed the "Cherokee" line of vehicles in 2002 for the North American Market. This forum is primarily aimed at the XJ platform, which was the Cherokee from 1984-2001. Your KJ Cherokee, which here is called a Liberty, is a strange and mysterious animal to us(ESPECIALLY with the 2.8L CRD). However, the guys over on this site here know tons about that vehicle: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/

Good luck, thanks for stopping in!

Is it rotten to the point of being loose? Like 70% of XJs have rusted trackbar mounts...

They are rusted to the point if I touch it pieces will fall off. I plan to do a lift after I get some more stuff sorted out, do I need to replace with stock size or could I replace with something else?

Once you've lifted it replace the whole thing with a double-shear setup like Iron Rock Offroad sells, this replaces the frame-side bracket.

Glad to hear that it's fine. But I had some terrible wobble on the highway yesterday. I gotta get it taken care of, I've tried the pull test.

Maybe it's my baby hands.
