Quick question.. yesterday I installed my new shackles on the back of the jeep and hopefully tonight I will install the coil spacers in the front. My question is, with the front do I put the bump stops back on? or leave them off? I saw a few pictures where they had the coil spacer but the bump stop was left off.

Its almost all of the time. Very seldomly does it blow at any speed through the normal vents. Even on high its like a small puff of air not steady fast blowing.

Would I need to remove the dash to access that or is there an easy way of doing this.

You definitely want bumpstops.

Are tou talking about the rubber isolaters that the spring is already on or the rubber bumpstop which is that cone like thing the coil goes onto?

I believe he's referring to the isolator instead of the bumper stop.

Either way. I usually take them off when adding spacers. You'll lose about .75" of lift that way.

Yes you want the bumpstops. And since you're lifted, you want to extend your bumpstop an inch for every inch taller you are. Some people never do and don't look back

ok awesome thanks! just wanted to make sure I was doing everything right..the back was really easy(except for having to take the rusted on hitch off) so hopefully the front wont be much harder.

Poke your noggin up under there and move the controls at the same time. You'll see what I mean.

1. been tryin to track down popping noise, finally located it - where steer shaft meets steer box .. searched forum already, gonna try tightening box bolts 1st .. what size socket & tips ? .. and how to look for mentioned cracks in unibody around steer box ?

2. Brakes .. went wheelin last weekend .. went axle deep in clean mtn creek water .. front brakes freaked out when wet .. from barely grabbing to grinding noise . .. then fine once dry, slow rolled with light pressure applied .. they returned to normal

pads / shoes are thick - thinkin buy new rotors / drums .. not sure of age

The brakes may have just flashed rusted which would explain the grinding

No Teflon tape. A conductive sealer would be best, but not always necessary. I use Permatex 2B.

So I should just thread it in and see how it seals
