Replaced the crank sensor and can sensor and I'm still getting P1391 code. What is wrong?

Stop listening to hick. He has no idea what he is talking about.

If you replaced both sensors and still get the code its because of a timing issue.

If your t chain has too much slack it can cause the code. Or a worn out distributor can cause the same code. Its a code caused by the pickups in dizzy and crank reading separate readings.

Hick if it had frayed wires it wouldn't run you artard.

Just start over stabbing the dizzy. Grt the engine to tdc on number 1 and stab it. The slot part is just a oil pump shaft. Its free to move when the dizzy is out

Well its a newly rebuilt engine and I'm pretty sure its timed correctly. Anyway to test if its timed correctly without taking the timing cover off or the head off?

Yes. Set cyl 1 to tdc on the compression stroke. Check dizzy to make sure its on #1

Newly rebuilt dont mean ish. Rebuilders use cheap ish parts. And have people who bearly function working for them. At my shop we just got a simple 350 from a rebuilder..... it was missing one rod bearing! Who the eff forgets a rod bearing? Diff company sent us a motor that the tchain was a tooth off.

Lol well then. Has it always had the code? You use good parts? Or cheap parts? Give me answers here. You are being vague as ish.
Does it run fine? Lack of power? Give a full description.

And so does that mean you and your dad did the machine work? Full assembly with all new parts? Or "rebuild" means you took it apart and tossed some new bearings and rings in it?
