I'm gonna look for a 29 spline one slowly... What would I need to convert mine? New carrier and shafts?

What was the stupid purchase?

I'm keeping myself from my tax money until I clear the to-do list. I have waaaaay to much to install.

I forgot about tax money lol

I still have to pick up my trans and case then do my SYE.

No accessories, like I wanted to build my roof rack and pre runner bars.

And I still have to buy gears, carrier and other do dads lol

Best place for 29 spline 8.25s? Jy ford exploders?
How bout D44? Get lucky on an old jy commanche? Im not gonna throw down the $3k+ for a G2 axle.

A Comanche axle would have to have new perches and shock mounts? To be put under an xj, so would an 8.8 you could find a 29 spline 8.25 in a jy, 8.8 is the strongest and most plentyful of the bunch.

Easiest:
29 spline 8.25 - 97+ XJs (bolt-in)
F8.8 - Exploders. 3.55/3.73/4.10 options, disc or drum brakes, with or w/o LSD
D44 - Good luck. Old XJs with factory tow package

Comanches are sprung under, and most came with D35s. If you do find one, save it for a Comanche owner. If you cut off the spring perches from a 'Manche D44, I'll have to come punch you.

Do you have ABS? If you do, you'll lose it when you swap axles. Only the D35 supported ABS on XJs.

If you find a Chrysler Corporate 8.25" axle under a Ford vehicle I will be impressed.
