Why not start a thread on here? There are tons of people (myself included) that are on this forum every day doing this same thing for people. Post your symptoms and we'll get to the bottom of it quickly at minimal cost to you.

The dash from a 1999-2001 cherokee will not fit a 1996. Mounting points, air ducts, wiring are all different and not interchangeable. I've only heard of it being done once, and he ran into major issues.

Grab one from a jeep at the junkyard.

Why do you need a new dashboard??? Unless you mean the instrument cluster (which i believe also will not work - they changed a lot in 2000)

Def post what's happening with your rig and you'll be amazed the knowledge gathered here. As fir the jeep specialist I know how you feel. It took me a while to find a mechanic that I trusted to do work on her.

Default 1997 Cherokee rear windshield washer fuse

Hello,
I am working on the rear windshield washer on my 1997 Jeep Cherokee, and I'm trying to figure out which fuse is used for the rear windshield washer. My fuse panel in in the passenger side foot area and the fuses are arranged in two vertical rows. I can find nothing about this in the owners manual and/or my Chilton repair manual.
I am replacing the (two) washer motor(s) and the dashboard switch for the rear washer.

Any advice will be appreciated
thank-you

I don't see why it would hurt anything. It might cause accelerated wear on the transfer case, but other than that I don't see any problems with it.

its fine because 4hi has a syncro that allows it to engage on the move and thats what is for because if your goin up hill and start to lose traction you can throw it into 4hi without loosing momentum

Whether the vacuum disconnect is working or not shouldn't affect if the t-case is able to shift in and out of 4wd.

88 cherokee limited 4L RENIX auto

cranks over but as its cranking it hesitates sometimes it does it other times its fine???

sometimes you gotta let it crank for a while before it finally kicks over.

plugs, fuel pump, cap/rotor, wires, battery, starter, coil are new.

any known electrical issues to look for?

any one experience this cranking problem before?

Hes right, jeeps 4wd is on the fly just do it when you not driving more than 5 mph and in a few weeks check your TC fluid. I have the same issue here with snow. Also don't use 4wd low only hi cause that's only for speeds up to like 10mph

Default 94? 96? 97?

Hi, Here's the question. I need an alternator for my 95 Cherokee Country 4.0, 6 cyl. I would like to know if other years will work, like a 94 or a 96? Thanks.
