They do look awesome and if thats what you want then go for it! As odgreen said over time mud will stain them and they will never again look as good as they do in that picture. I had white letter km1's on my old jeep and they kept their color quite well, I probably gave them a solid scrub once a month however they never looked brand new again, but they were still appealing.

I go mudding a lot, and my tires are about 3-4 years old now, they still look brand new.

More recently: Look at the back tire, that front one is actually brand new in this pic (Nicked the sidewall, warranty replaced it)

Yep, i usually take watered down bleach, spray a very small amount on the tires and scrub the hell outta it with a tire brush, then spray the hell out of it so the rims don't corrode. They used to make specially made tire bleach, i haven't seen any in a while though.

Thanks, i took that on 9/11 last year, just cleaned the Jeep and the flag was at half staff. Couldn't pass it up. lol, and make sure to keep your mouth shut and wear safety glasses when you're scrubbing with a tough brush.

I think it's all owner opinion. I personally hate solid black tires, which is why i always bleach my tires. Actually bleached the letters on my Dad's pickup, they used to be a horrible brown. One nice scrubbing and they looked brand new minus the splitting in the raised letters.

This one has 170,000 miles but it passed inspection so everything seems good. I would be buying it for only $2500 which I'm thinking is pretty good considering it already has a 2.5" lift

170k on a post-97? Sounds a bit much. If it drives ok i guess it would be fine though.
