Its pretty low mileage, under 50k would really be impressive though. Also the 60th anniversary edition adds to it. It will probably go to a collector, I doubt it will be wheeled anytime soon.

Second opinion here. If it's got the 4.0 in it the engine management is going to be reasonably similar (if not identical) to the XJs, so it'd be a great place to look. Testing and cleaning should be similar to what you'll find posted here. I have no idea if your transmission (42RLE?) has a kick-down cable though, you might try the Grand Cherokee section.

As to the OP, that is one clean Jeep, but not worth the asking price.

Hi Everyone,
I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee, on Christmas Day while driving I heard a knocking sound, not a piston, more like a belt knock, pulled over and had it towed, I turned it off it didn't die. The other day when trying to figure out what was wrong, we started it and the shake from the engine was terrible, have new mounts, know it is not the problem. When you reeve it up the shaking smooths out. Any one know what might be the problem?
I didn't want to start a new post, so here I am LOL
Thanks for any help.

Is this a good price for an all aluminum, 2-row radiator?

Signed for $7300 at 23% interest for my '01 XJ. I had been pricing TJs and LJs, but I only had two days to buy something before I had to drive to my new duty station. Couldn't find what I wanted, so I settled for a Cherokee without shopping around. The interest rate is cause I had no credit history.
Despite how upsetting it was, rolling that thing was a huge weight off my shoulders. Paid it off and bought a Comanche for $600 cash.

You probably COULD powder coat them, but I don't see why you would.. spray paint would look just as good but a hell of a lot cheaper. All powder coating is is paint anyway.. it's just bonded on in a different way.

I recently got my steering box replaced after it went bad and today i was doing some simple flexing and noticed that my steering wheel was damn near impossible to turn. I turned the Jeep off and then on and it was fine. Any thoughts?
