You should always run a dealer 195. The engine will be trapped in warm up mode and use more fuel since its too cold.

I bet your heat isn't blowing very hot and your gas milage sucks too.
Always use the 195* thermostat. Changing to a 180* isn't fixing an overheating issue, It's just hiding it with many negative side effects.

Yes said it lol. I have a random fail safe 195 but im better off getting the dealership one.

There's a guy on CL that wants to buy a D35 for a jeep. He's got $100. Thinkin I should maybe take my axle out and sell it then go buy a better one at the Jy. Easy to do?

Take about half an hour to get yours out, but the one at the jy couldl be sitting in the dirt, I'd source one before you pull yours.

+1. Around here there's crap all for axles at the JY. However 8.25s come up on forums and Kijiji (like CL) regularly

About 400,000 threads on this. 5w30 is good, 0w30 is better, some run 15w40. Please search. What is more important is DON'T USE A FRAM FILTER!
