Default would leaking heater be the prob....

hi all, ive read where a leaking heater can dump a bit of water on the floor..would it also mist my front window up only on left hand side, and steam out the vents.. because thats the three things she is doing... any thoughts cheers.....

Sounds like a leaking heater core.

coolant bottle is always needing topping up and orange light is always on..been that way for ages , just went out and had a look, shes empty again..the problems with the water and mist have just started last two weeks or so ....

yep, under the windsheild fluid res. replace tubung and caulk arround

the steam and mist are signs of a leaking heater core. it can be time consuming to replace as the dash must be moved to get the heater case out to replace the heater core but it can be done if you choose to tackle it on your own... it can be a bit pricey at a shop but either way it does sound like a leaking heater core.

thanks guys , will have a look over weekend.. will the core need replacing, better get a new one before i go pulling it to bits.....just another thing on the list..dam had it down to just the rear main seal to do and one axle seal to do..

so the dash has to moved, man thats a lot of **** to undo...
