i got a 01 xj with 115k miles, is it work putting on a 2-3 inch and 31's with all those miles already on the car?

 

mine had 130k on it when i lifted it and its got 142k now and ive had no problems. Go for it

 

Sure is. I've heard people putting lifts on with near 200k miles on them.

 

yeah man you take care of your engine it will last forever, i talked to a guy the other day, and i coudnt believe it he said he had 430,000 miles on his, i didnt believe it so i went and looked and he was tellin the truth! i looked under the hood, same motor and everything just reguar maintinance, it was insane though, thats alot of miles!!!!

 

yeah mines almost breaking 200,000 and i lifted mine over 8" and its still running strong

 

thats a 4.0L I6 for ya! they are freakin beasts! i hate when people jank on jeeps cause they have I6 and not V8 my friends do it all the time, i guess they are just jealous cause i can kick their @$$ offroad haha

 

my first jeep was cheap and had 234K on it, i lifted it up 4" and ran 32's and ran the miles all the way up to 270k with regular oilchanges and never had an issue, just normal wear and tear.. Plus i wheeled it nearly every other weekend..

if you havent heard it before, then i'm sure this won't be the last time you do hear this:
the 4.0 Inline 6 motor is nearly bullet-proof, they last a long time

 

I have a cherokee with the original motor and it has 292000 miles on it and still runs like a champ. I am foaming at the mouth cause i want to put a budget boost on it!

 

Mine has 310,000 miles on it.

 

Yours is still breakin in at 115k. Lift it.

 

115k is damn near like new for a 4.0 they just run better with age.

I have 220k still running stong and will be lifting it when the cash flow allows.

Also at least 80k was highway miles with 500lbs or so worth of parts/tools when the XJ was a work vehicle.

 

i just finished my lift yesterday im showing 148k and have not a care in the world about how the motor will perform

 

that is not a lot of miles on these motors. i got mine with 80k and now i have 102k and still rolling strong
