Default wont start

So I went to start the jeep. And didn't have the clutch in all the way when I turned the key. The jeep rocked forward a bit and I smelled an electrical burning smell. And now it wont start. No noise from starter either.. any ideas?

Always put what kind of vehicle you are talking about. Years, engine size and model. There are slight difference.

Does it crank at all? Or is it completely silent? My 90 automatic had a no start issue and made no noise. Turned out to be a bad wire connection to the starter relay. Have u tried to push start it?

No noise from starter at all. And I can hear clicking from where the relay is. Have not tried push starting.

I didn't know the relay would make noise. Just the starter. I'd start with all the free things to check. Clean grounds, all the spark related connections, ect. Could be as simple as a loose batt. Connection. I'm not a mechanic, but I've experienced a lot of times to be a simple fix to a major problem. I'd suggest looking up cruiser 54 mostly renix tips, (pink link) and if u don't have a multi-meter, it is cheap and will become your best friend with a pre OBD vehicle. I miss having a stick shift.
