Wiring help.
Hey guys I just bought a 2000 jeep Cherokee and I found this cut wire. Any idea what it does? It was under the steering wheel near the connector for a check engine light code scanner. Thanks.

Looks like someone had added something...maybe stereo?. Hell I would try and trace it and see where it goes or just connect wire back and see if anything comes on or burns up! Strange why cut the wire when there is a fuse?
Hell no..dont do that, I think that could be the initiate self-destruct button !

You're going to have to trace that wire. I also see a blue scotchlink wire tap there, whcih might be feeding something else. Aftermarket radio and lazy installer perhaps?

That looks like a 3 amp fuse (if i remember my colors correct). Chances are it could have been for a cb or ham radio. Are there any signs of an aftermarket cb antenna or brackets somewhere? (Or screw holes for brackets?)
I was thinking 3 or 4 amp as it looks pinkish. A 10amp is red. Atleast all of mine are. Like said, youre going to have to trace the wire to see where it leads. And those blue scotchlinks are evil. PO made a mess of the tailight harnesses using them for an aftermarket trailer hitch.
