Somebody broke into my car and smashed dash! Need some help with wiring

Hi there

A couple of days ago somebody tried to steal my -97 Grand Cherokee. They broke into my car, smashed and broke the dash around the steering wheel, broke and stole (!) the ignition cylinder, and cut almost all wires underneath the steering wheel. A cable harness of 30-40 cm is missing (just cut off), and need to be replaced.

I've bought a new cylinder, but can't figure out how and where the different wires should be connected. Can somebody help me with a wiring diagram here please?

you should probably try hitting a junk yard to get a wiring harness, would make things a lot simpler.

Believe it or not...You could probably get the entire steering column fairly cheap. Bolt up and reconnect the harness and be ready to go in about 1-2 hours of work.

Take it to a lock smith and get a key made for $10-15.

You will have to deal with 2 keys but call it added insurance.
