Default Wiring help

At this point in time I have no tail lights. I can pull on the light switch and it blows a fuse right away. I've checked the actual tail light housing and head lights and it all checks out. They were doing fine after I did some searching and checking then I turned on the brights and now it blows then right away. It's a 1987 Cherokee with a 4.0 and 4wd. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Do you have some hey-okey trailer wiring harness on the Jeep that's been butchered in at some point?

i found the problem after being stranded on the side of the rode. the loom that is just behind the headlight on the driver side had 2 wires at the bottem that was cut and exposed. one, still dont know why, cut off the fuel pump, the other was the ground to the tail lights.

No, it was one of the wires from the loom that goes right behind the driver side head light was cut and hit the body which grounded it out
