Default Windows Stuck

hey guys, i have a 97 and the windows just recently got stuck down and won't go back up. they have worked fine for four years and then just suddenly stopped. the odd part is it is just the passenger side in the front and the drivers side in the back. so opposite sides. and the other odd part- window in back would roll down but not up. now its down all the way and won't go back up. checked all the fuses in pass. kick panel. ideas?

if it is a power window it could be the motor or it could be as simple as the window coming loose from the track. Take your door pannel off and see if that is the problem if it is the motor you will have to do this any way and I recomend that you try to find that at the jy cause they are silly expesive new.

yeah they are power windows, but i doubt it came off the track cause i've already had the panels off and looked. i think its more possibly a short somewhere then anything else. it seems weird two motors would go out similtaneously and then work once and then quit all together. anyways, thanks!
