Hi yall!
I have been thinking about window tinting my white cherokee to 20 %. I found a window tint kit, but it's for a 1988 &up. Mine is a 1986.
Will this kit work? I can't find one for the 86.
THANKS
Nick.

who needs a kit. go to the store and buy a roll of tint. should be enough to do the whole jeep. prolly cheaper than buying a kit. just a little extra work cutting it to fit. but its really easy

My jeep hasn't even seen that much of the road with me or offroad. Just one constant build lol
But when ever wheeling (rather in my dads cj5 brothers ranger friends) we always have our windows down for some reason.

I wheel with 5% all the way around and have no sight issues. DO NOT get a kit. You need to get the film un cut (lifetime color stable film) and cut to size.
You need to spray everything down, work in a clean area (like a garage with a hosed out floor) and take your time.
Here is 5% 3M life time color stable tint after 4 years of wear and tear:

I do recommend using cheap-o slimline fog lights as additional reverse lights. Other than that no issues.

The reason everything needs to be clean is because any little dust particle that gets under the tint film will cause a little bubble. it will not harm anything, but its like acne-ugly to look at. A good tint place (if you have them do it) will not let any get under the film. a cheap tint place will not get much get under the film and will probably have the film fade to a prupleish color is a few years.
about $200-$250 for every window to be tinted if you go some place to have them do it witha life time warrantee

WOW new mexico is high on tint. I have had my 4 door tacoma done my 07 mustang and my 94 4 door cherokee done and none were over 170. This was at a very nice shop that even machine cut the tint for a perfect(no jagged lines or thick edges) fit.

3M Life time nation wide warranty and a 1 free "accidental replacement" per window if i ever scratch or nik the film. $200 for our cherokees is about right.
