My driver regulator died recently, window fell, the usual scenario when they go. I pull the unit this am and the window bracket is fine, lol its actually metal and was an ebay replacement. What broke was the frickin hose lines the go into the motor housing. The window will go up, but not down, it will just feed the housing out instead of the wire sliding through it.

I havent read about this type of break, has anyone fixed this?

 

You could probably just glue it back, but a whole regulator with motor is $50 from rock auto. I'd rather just have a new one that won't get stuck at the most unfortunate time.

Recent experience: my wife got really mad at me because I knew about the window switch issue and didn't fix it before driving through an ostrich farm. She's terrified of them, the window wouldn't go up... yeah you see where this is going.
