Where is the best place to get a window regulator? The driver side want stay up. Motor still works? Where can I get one?

It all depends on what exactly what broke. You will have to pull the door panel to make sure on what you will need. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. But inspecting it would be your best bet before ordering the part. You can always hit you local junk yard and see what they have.

If the window won't stay up then its possibly that second part you posted. The only way to tell is to pull the door apart and have a look. If the long cable is not attached to the window then that repair kit is what your looking for.

 

To be honest yes, you can get the second piece. However the problem i had with it, was that it started to strip the "fuzzy wire" and i bought the whole regulator in the end, a lot less of a hassle in my opinion.

 

Ok, I will pull that panel as soon as I can.

 

Post what you find it may help someone else in the future. Good luck with the repairs and hopefully it will be a cheap and easy fix.

 

If the plastic piece is worn out inside the window you can repair it with a cotter pin.Cost about $1 for a 2Pac from Home Depot.

Same fix as you posted from E-bay but alot cheaper & mine has lasted over 2 years & I only used one cotter pin.

No problem.

I couldn't see spending (at the time) $120 on a used reg. or $150 for a new one.

I didn't mind wasting $1 & some of my time if it was a failure.I think it took about a hour from start to finish.

 

Update:


So, I ordered a new regulator and motor from rockauto.com for like 80$. Pulled my old one out and found out the teeth were worn and the cable like, blew out the other end??? Look at pics. It just looked funny to me? Any way, it was broke.
