Okay I took my wheel/brake off and my hubs have KOREA stamped on them. Clearly I was mistaken, oops, sorry.

Still a quality bearing though!

Sure, can do. Right now I've got Dana 5-760x u-joints, Timken 513084 hub/bearing assemblies, Timken 710068 inner axle seals, and Dorman 05101 axle nut/retaining collar/cotter pin/washer kits on order from Rock Auto (click for links). I can update this post whenever I finally get around to actually doing the work if I encounter any surprises.

You could change your front diff fluid if it's due.
AFTER you put your axles back in though. When you slide the shafts back into the diff they're going to take plenty of garbage in with it no matter how hard you try to prevent it, especially if you wheel your Jeep.

He never gave a straight answer to if the hubs are still US made or not.

Oh as far as the Timkens being made in USA mine were not and I did mine about 2 years ago think they were made in Mexico.

Next time I have my wheels off I'm going to have to check if they said USA on them. Not that it matters at the end of the day but now I'm curious.

I could be wrong, but I believe that North Korea doesn't casually throw around the word Korea. If they made something, it'd have some weird looking P.R.N.K on it or something like that or some other ode to their glorious leader or communism. I'm pretty sure if they just put Korea they'd be arrested or worse.

IIRC, it's Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Yes, so in the event they ever do manufacture stuff for international export, it'd be stamped like D.P.R.K rather than "north korea" I would think.

The boxes for my Timkens have a label, but no "Made In" anywhere. But the seals have "ITALY RFT" (might be RET) on them if that means anything. Bought them maybe 2 years ago from Rockauto.

We're highly unlikely to see North Korean made parts in the US due to the various sanctions on that country. If I see Korea on a box you can pretty much assume it was made in South Korea.
