right now getting 14.6 MPG all city driving. I know for a fact I was pulling over 19 mpg about a year or 2 ago with a mix of city/highway driving. Not sure what the issue is. Due for new tires and maybe more evidently as I swear my gas mileage shouldn't be this bad. I think it been 60k since tune up might try that.

There's something seriously wrong with your jeep if you're burning through that much gas.

O2 sensor inoperative, fuel line leak, injector(s) stuck open, something major

[QUOTE=apw5746;1124553]Stock 99 XJ, 152K
12-12 city
20 highway
what is seafoam, & does it clean the injectors, or is it best to remove.
Extremely non-mechanically inclined.
Lastly, how do you clean drain to prevent rain water dripping on passenger side?[/QUOTE

I have an update about gas mileage. Since I added seafoam, my mileage is now mid 17-18 in town (depending on how I drive), and almost 20 on the highway.

I do have a problem in that when I run A/C or plain air, my vent closed to defroster. Is there a fix, or am I doomed?

Ya vacuum can. It's in the front bumper. Check all the vacuum lines from the can back. My can leaked but had no physical damage.

Bone stock = 14-15.5MPG
All stock except P235/75 R15 tires = 13-13.5 MPG
1.5" lift P235/75 R15 tires and driving like grandpa = 15-16 MPG
1.5" lift 32X11.5X15 tires and stock speedometer gear (wrong mileage) = 12MPG
1.5" lift 32X11.5X15 tires and correct 31 tooth speedometer gear = pending....

I do 60/40 city and highway.
