BTUs are the measure of heat released from doin work. Is a product of the energy store in the ignition source in this case gas and ethenol enriched gas.
As for the friction, Ive never heard any mention of it. Even it it were less lubricant I dont see how that would be an issue. The lubrication happens out side the combustion chamber where the oil is. A mix of an air fuel mixture is goin to do little to lubricate anything. And as for the ethanol ruining the oils ability to lubricate thats BS!. Over time this may be the case but if you change your oil regularly it wont affect your engine.

and if you recall oil lines the walls of the cylinder with a film coat...
and my last example i will provide to you are these two facts:
1. some auto manufactures do not honor repairs caused by gas with more than 20% ethanol as it is harmful to the non flex-fuel engine
2. per owners manual for 2001 voyager with flex fuel engine
....vehicals has been specially equiped for running E85 fuel, like an increased coolant system with a larger capacity....it also talks about oil..... if using E85 fuel, more frequent oil changes will be needed at a rate of every 3000miles as compared to the manual's recomendation of standard gas with oil changes at every 5000 miles....
and after all OEM recommendations are for the promotion of long engine life and efficiancy....
4 litre, '98 LTD all stock. Around 23 mpg at 75 - 80 with cruise control on, around 16 - 17 around town. Of course it is fun to watch the figure fall in the traffic light drag race!

what is seafoam, & does it clean the injectors, or is it best to remove.
Extremely non-mechanically inclined.
Lastly, how do you clean drain to prevent rain water dripping on passenger side?

Just did an oil change, cleaned the throttle body, and ran some seafoam through the intake. Here are my results:
City: 13.75mpg on average
Highway: 19mpg on average
Not too bad considering it's about the same mileage as it was brand new and stock.
I have 73k on the odometer.

wanted- a white 1990 Cherokee or somewhere close. I want it to be showroom stock with trailer hitch to pull my 15 ft. fishing boat. it must have cold air and 2 or 4 wheel drive-rather have 4 but 2 will do if the price is right!

99 Cherokee Sport get 14.5 in city to 15 depending on how I drive. I get 16 on the interstate for short jaunts and can get it up to 18 on longer trips. I didnt buy a Jeep Cherokee because I wanted good gas mileage
My fuel pump was going out a while back and I was getting 10 MPG to 14 depending on how the Jeep felt that day XD

20 MPG for last to fill ups, since I bought the Jeep.
94 Sport, 5 speed, 4x4, 6 cylinder, 255k miles. Stock. Rusted exhaust and cracked manifold. I am shifting when light tells me to.
It is better than my G8 GXP on same route, to work and back, but I can't hyper mill the G8

93 ZJ with the 5.2lt mill. Free flowing intake tubes but otherwise stock. Over 19mpg on trips, 18.3mpg to work combined town and highway. 14mpg 100% in town.
When I bought it, the owner told me less than 10mpg, and the average on the roof was 9.8mpg.
