i know that in theory the more you pay the better product you get but that's not always the case. My stepdad had a 400$ champion 8000# winch he bought from costco and it worked wonders for years, he then sold it to a guy in our club sho still run's it. He then bought a 1400$ warn theromomatic and the piece of **** never works.
i would never buy a winch, i never go alone so there is always someone to pull me out if needed.

guy i used to work with had an older mile marker 8000#. had it for years with no problems. i personally used it once to pull out my 6000 plus pound 79 K-20 mudtruck stuck in swamp muck. thought it worked great and still is going strong. id buy mile marker out of the three.

chose that because I had one but it overheated and blew up. I would own another for a trailer winch though

eh...well then if i had to pick i would say smittybuilt.
i have daily battles with rugged ridge products.
