i have seen a few other cherokees at the junk yard with these and they both looked broken just like mine

i still dont know what that little thing is.lol everyone always ask me what it is and i never have an answer. i've even tried taking it apart and all thats inside is a curcuit board! but it serves no purpose!

is that for a remote door unlock? I thought newer xj's had that option, or is it just Zj's? It's my best guess lol

its the 1980s design for keyless entry. and so is the little black "bulb" thing....it was just a different design..
