My 2000 XJ runs at about 210 give or take, only really going beyond that if i'm in stop/go traffic. is this about normal? What's YOUR jeep running at? I'd like to get mine below the 50% mark on the temp gauge. Considering a new 195 degree T-stat and a new radiator. cowl hood would be nice too.

Mine runs at 190 all the time. I have a upgraded thermostat so the hottest it has ever gotten was about 200 in traffic. Post 99's have overheating issues so I would keep an eye on it. the cooler they run the better.

My 87 4.0 xj runs about 150 all the time, my 98 5.9 zj stays at 180. This is the coolest running sealed system running xj I have owned my 88 xj would go past 210 in traffic all the time.

Pretty much same here, between 210 and 215 in traffic w/ AC on full and in california heat. open highway 210 even. 220 offroad/going up a steep grade.

In the middle of a hot Oklahoma Summer (108 degrees) with the AC on high. I can easily get to the next mark pat halfway, kinda hot IMO.
