We had a big storm overnight, this morning I went out to my new-to-me '94 and there is a small puddle of water in the console WTF? I see water dripping from this doohickey so I look on the roof and there is an open hole with what looks like a threaded part just inside of it. What the heck is this thing, and what is supposed to be on my roof to not let water in??

 

Normally those doohickeys are the receiver for the keyless entry system. I've not seen one like that before. Have no clue to what bolted to the roof. I can see faint circle around the hole. Perhaps some kind of antenna mount?

 

Didn't notice that until you mentioned it, could be the PO had a CB antenna there, there was a CB sitting loose in the box of goodies that was in the back. Thanks for pointing that out.

 

My guess is there used to be a spotlight mounted there.

 

You should be able to make something with a big fender washer, a nut, some RTV, and a strong magnet if you aren't going to put an antenna there.
