Mine has been running about 40psi. I just changed my vc gasket yesterday, now it runs @ 50psi; from a cold start to totally warm.

Extremely blonde, since they hold SIX quarts.

Hmm..........all this makes me wonder if my pressure is TOO high or, perhaps my gauge is off. I get about 60 on a cold start at idle and up to 80 at 55mph and once it reaches full operating temp, about 35 to 40 at idle and 50-ish at 55mph.

Before my last oil change, I was getting 50 to 60 on a cold start, not much higher at 55mph and around 20 at idle with it warmed up and around 40 at 55mph.

That's rather high. I suspect a faulty sender.

Can't sleep. Twisted my back bringing a massage chair into the house. $200 at a yard sale. Like brand new. How ironic is that? Just got done sitting in it for awhile. 800 mg Ibuprofen and back to bed for me.

If you bumped it with the oil filter wrench, that can cause it to go on the fritz also.
