Default Junkyard cruise control

I have a 2001 xj and i desperately need cruise control. At the local pick and pull, they have a 98 with all the cruise parts. I want to know the minimum parts i need knowing that im going to have to make a wiring harness for it.

Make a wiring harness?

It's already there.

You need:

-servo
-clockspring
-steering wheel with switches(99-01 steering wheel)
-vacuum control module
-vacuum lines

It's all plug and play.

I had to add 2 wires to the one of the plugs at the computer with the factory kit for my tj. It involved disassembling the plug and inserting the connectors. Didnt know if i had to do thst for the xj too or not.

ExactlyThis!
Plug is behind the battery next to the vacuum line. Plug in your servo there. You can just get the switches. they will bolt onto your steering wheel. You just remove the plastic blanks that are on there now.
Didn't see a vacuum control module.
All I did was connect the servo change the clock spring and add the switches.
Worked like a charm.
Stole the cruise off my 99 that I was selling for my 2000.
Took all of 45 minutes to swap remove from 99 AND install in 2000.
Get a cheap steering wheel puller. worth every dime.
