i was hoping someone knows or can help me figure it out i have a 1990 jeep Cherokee Laredo and i pulled up an ac diagram the only issue is. one says factory ac the other American. its weird the part numbers are different but the parts look identical.
how can you tell.

Can you find part numbers on the pieces in your jeep then compare them to the diagrams?

 

Generally factory means it came off the assembly line with it.
"American" usually refers to the kit installed at the dealer.

 

that actually makes sense as far as the differences between the 2 systems. I'll grab a look later I didn't even think of that, I'm shot.
