Spot welding is ok, but it is stronger than welding to an edge. If welding to an edge, it should be stitched

.... Wait it wont allow me to direct link. Yes they have a floor kit for MJ's. You're just gonna have to go to the site and punch in your info. Once you do that got to the bottom of the list of the left side and search "floor". There should be one among the list saying something like "floor pan - pickup 1984-92". That should be it.
