Default Weird sputter problem

Ok so i finely changed my valve cover gasket and while i did, i kind of cleaned out my valves.( just scraped and got all i could get out) but anyways after a day or two, I went to the park and work. When i went to go home, i cranked my jeep up and it felt like it was flooded, sputtered and just cut off when i tried to go(first time it happened).

So the next time it happened, i ran my RPM's up to 2000-3000 and kept it there for 20 mins and it went away. I just don't understand why it does this. it does this maybe 2 times a day and i go alot of places everyday. my jeep is a 1996 with 280,000 miles on it. what ya think?

hmm cleaning the rods off. They looked like someone put a bunch of leaves in oil after breaking them up and throwing them in there. Just looked like alot of broken up junk. so i tried my best without taking them apart with a shop vac and scrapper. good?

My GUESS is you dislodged a piece of something that is stuck in the vacuum system somewhere. I would try some seafoam or similar to run thru the system. any gas smell when you have the problem??

I think your valves are sticking you should pull the head off and lap them. Or you could just dump tons of chemicals into your moter for no reason. Its up to you.
