Water Pump Removal Tip
I just replaced my water pump this weekend. To remove the pulley, make sure you have a strap wrench, which will hold the pulley in place while you remove the 4 bolts.
I replaced the radiator as well. Called the stealership for a laugh - they quoted me $1,150 to replace both. It pays to get greasy!

I'd be bankrupt if I paid people to service/repair my six motorcycles, car, pickup, and my wife's two minivans and car! (I'm on this site because I've been working on my friend's XJ.)
Gotta do your own work if you want any quality control at all.

I'm sure there are some really good ASE Master Techs here, as members, that pride themselves in their work and quality control. There's probably some members here that are insurance agents and they love households with 11 vehicles. LOL

I too just replaced the whole cooling system on my Jeep (rad/pump/thermostat/hoses) this weekend. A ghetto tip for the water pump pulley (if you are like me and don't have a strap wrench) is to wedge a long screwdriver (or one of those roofing pry bars) between two of the bolt heads you are not trying to loosen, and use that leverage to prevent the pulley from turning. Just "crack" each of the 4 bolts using that method and you can them remove all 4 bolts easily.
