Google it. To run 33's without trimming, 5.5-6 inch lift in my opinion. Depends if you take it offroad or not.

The 4WD conversion can be done, but you'd be better off buying an XJ that is already 4WD, IMHO!!

i havent dont it, but plan too as soon as my either tranny or engine take a crap, but i think you need a 4wd tranny,i guess the 2wd tranny is too long? or something, dont quote me and please do correct me. You'll also need a transfer case, new drive shafts, front axle, and maybe a new center consle to accomedate the T-case shifter. Whats your guy's opinion on the "best" t-case?

4x4 tranny has different tailshaft/tailshaft housing than the 2wd tranny. As far as the "best" t-case, I'd say the np231.

Check the floorpans make sure a tranfer case will fit I don't recall the last time I saw a 2X4 jeep. Well I remember the mail trucks heheh.. What year and model is this thing? Can you give me the VIN # ? That will tell me everything about it.
