Default Turn signal does not auto shut off after turning corner...

Hey everyone,

Just as the title says. With my turn signal on in either direction, it does not automatically shut off after turning the corner.

Anyone ran into this? Ideas??

Thanks!

The turn signal switch mechanism is made of white plastic, IIRC... it can get brittle with age.
You will need to pull the steering wheel to get to it.
It should be fairly obvious when you're in there.
As stated above, you will probably need a new switch...and since you're already in there, why not put a new one in anyways?

Good luck!

HAHA, Nice comment about shutting it off myself . That's what i've been doing for the past month, it's just getting old having to do it every time. I hate being the idiot driving down the highway/street with their blinker on, you all know what I am talking about...

I used to be a aircraft electrician, so I should be fine in that aspect. I'll tear into the column tonught and take a look.

Thanks again!

They have cheap Chinese take-offs on Ebay if you're not particular.

Yep, I looked on Ebay last night, they have them.

I also found what sounds like the right part at Oriley's for $52, a bit steep...

The switch proper is usually fine - but the cancel cam is usually shot.

You can usually find the cancel cam in the HELP! section at your local.
