It would seem to since the 1-2 position is strictly mechanical, apply pressure is routed by the manual valve instead of the solenoids.
If I knew what caused the eventual 1-2 shift (in the 1-2 position) I'd feel smarter. Governor? Accumulator pressure?

 

Still no issues.. About 150 miles of driving since last report. I guess you could say the tv cable was the issue
