Transfer case won’t shift

I recently rebuilt my np231 j transfer case for my 95 jeep xj Cherokee sport and my shift mode selector in my transfer case doesn’t move at all ,it wont shift at all, I have it in 2h so I can still drive my jeep but curious because I would like to have 4wd

Make sure the Indicator Light Switch isn't binding it up...

Crack it back open and check the shift fork, it's easy to get it misaligned.

how exactly should it be aligned? I have it in 2wd I put both the forks on and it has to be somethin with the forks cause it looks like the bottom fork gets out of whack if I try and shift it any
