Default Transfer Case Wiring

Does anyone have a diagram of where each connector on the transfer case wiring harness goes. Theres a circle connector and 2 end connectors im not sure where they plug into. Picture of it would be nice.

Look into a FSM for the plugs you need locations for. As to the years of the transfercases some older ones were pretty much mechanical and had little or no plugs and as the years came closer to 2001 those things increased so you may have a transfercase which does not require any electrical connections at all.

Have you a FSM for the 96 JC? If so check the wiring diagram to see where those wires go.

I have a feeling that the "circle 4 wire plug" is for vacuum engagement of the front axle on some models...

You may be right 89xj as I went to crawl under mine to check (bad memory) and saw nothing like that but I have a 242 and they never had disco axles.

The red circle is the connector I was talking about. The arrow is the speed sensor I believe.

yea, my '91 had those w/ the vac activated front axle. If I recall, some of the wires off the sw went to the front axle vac switch and some went 'upstairs, probably idiot light, possibly PCM.
