Go and download a 95 FSM. All of the connectors and their locations on the XJ are listed.

Can anyone help me with this. I just spent about 3 hours going through 2 different FSM and could not find that wire. I thought I was a o2 sensor but I dont know. The red circle is the connector i am talking about.

That looks like the speed sensor where the speedo gear is at..

I honestly don't know..I can look at mine in the morning and see where it goes but I don't remember seeing one on mine..

Whatever that circle connector is, its not in the FSM

I have a feeling since it's a 96 tcase that it's some computer thing our older jeeps don't have..

Well whatever it is doesnt plug into the transfer case or tranny. I just pass over the tranny to get to where its going. Im almost tempted to cut it off. But I dont want to do that till I know whats its for.

The transmission is from a 94 and the transfer case is from a 96.

Thats what i thought. I can just cut it off then. Now I just have to find the factory plug for the harness to plug into.
