Tranny won't shift out of 1st
Took my 90 XJ to the car wash today to pressure wash the grunge off the valve cover so I could replace the leaking gasket. Cleaned the heck out of it but on the way back it wouldn't shift out of 1st gear! Any clues? I have attached 3 pics I took of what I found that was loose/odd when I eyeballed it. The first one is a loose coupling at the termination end, the second is at its beginning and the last one looks to me to be a vacuum line that was dangling. All these are on the right side of the motor.
Any help is appreciated 'cause I have no clue why this started suddenly. I thought maybe it was because I had gotten an electrical connection wet but all is dry now and it still persists.
As always, thanks for any help!

Did you pressure wash the under the Jeep around the transmission on the driver's side? There's some wiring there that goes to a speed sensor on the transmission. If it shorts to ground, it tells the TCU that you're not moving and then it won't upshift.
If you need to drive it as-is, you can disconnect the TCU under the glove box side of the dash. The trans won't shift automatically so you'll have to move the gear selector 1, 3, D etc (almost like a manual) but it will work.

Probably got the TPS wet and/or the trans plugs.
