tranny swap ,now wont start

tranny swap ,now wont start
swap the tranny yesterday in 1995 cherokee with auto transmission,broke a wire on the left side on the bell housing, i think its called a timing sensor gromet it ties into the fuel injection , will this cause the jeep not to run?

Yep,it is called a cps and it will not run without it,you are not the only one that has broke it. Just to make sure it is bolted to the bellhousing on the left top?

easy fix man. just go get yourself a new CPS (Crank Position Sensor) and youll be fine. now assuming that everything else was bolted up right it should fire right up.

Its a bit of a pain in the *** to change. Its right on top of the bell housing. I tried doing it on the ground on my old jeep but finally gave up and brought it to a mechanic I knew and he let me borrow his lift.
