I have brand new 31 inch tires on mine and I'm at stock height. It doesn't rub unless I turn the wheels all the way, like mentioned above. (lower control arms) I get some rubbing on the rear inner fender wheel wells if I hit a hard bump with people in the back.

In WA you have to have a horn, but it can't be "excessively loud". Once again I don't have the RCW in front of me, but the way it reads, its up to the officer writing the ticket.

There is a decibel limit to exhaust in this state and a judge would likely use that to make a ruling, but most officers don't know half the RCW's anyway. So in the end, I would keep my stock horn and wouldn't use train horns on the road.....if theres a cop around.

Changes the whole look. I am going to go back to Wal Mart and try to get their tire protection plan now.
They wont give you the protection plan because you had someone else put them on.

I ended up taking the wheels off the car and hand carrying them in with the tires.

Only problem then was when I got them on the car and realized they weren't balanced right. I took them back 3 times before I gave up and took them to an independent shop to get balanced.

Some aftermarket rims can very much be a pain to balance. It just depends what kind of balancer you have.

It looks like you really got those tires crammed in there. Question? Is the stock height of a jeep from the <1996 and lower year model jeeps higher than the xj's from >1997 and up?

I'm not sure, but I don't think so.

As for my tires being crammed in there...Those pics were taken a day after I got them installed.

Can I fit a 31 inch tire on My jeep?
The tires are awesome looking.
I have those tires on my 86 Wagoneer limited XJ with a five inch lift. I got them from WAL-Mart, they would not install them because the jeep was overly modified so I opped for a carry out at $575.00. Due to the aggressive tread pattern you might have to go up another inch. I thought wal-mart hada type o on the tires, the look to aggressive to be an allTrain tire, so I called goodyear and the confirmed that they were infact an allTrain. Ive had then since April of this year and they are at about 75%, mostly street. The tread has worn evenly but Im starting to get a little bit of noise but nothing major.

I bought the same tire from walmart and my old 90 xj with a 3" lift rubbed up front. I simply took the wheels in to have them mounted and brought them home to install.
