I've gone with 100% heat for the whole winter since the clip came off the cable that opens and closes the little door to the blower housing. I can't figure out how the clip is supposed to go back on the cable. Anyone have a picture of that stupid thing? The end of the cable has a loop on it and I think the clip lets the cable slide but I didn't see it before it came off.
Thanks in advance.
FYI: I posted this in the Modified Tech section by accident so I copied and pasted it in this section.

Thanks for that pic-My clip and cable looks a bit different. That clip looks like it is fixed / clamped on the cable. I think mine is designed to slide when it hits the stops.
It does get hot but it's been a cold winter...

Thanks for the replies. Does the clip slide on the cable? The blend door lever only moves 45 degrees or so and the cable on mine has a lot of travel. If it was ridged to the cable, I can't see how the travel on the blend slider would match the amount of movement.
Stupid little thing. I might have to go to a JY to look at the action.

The cable sheath is secured underneath the dash. The cable goes in and out to open the door but it doesn't seem like the clip is designed to clamp on to the cable (at least not my clip). Also, my "cable" is a single stiff wire or rod inside the sheath. Cruiser's picture looks like a normal flexible throttle-type cable. Don't know if there were differences in years. Mine is an '87 Laredo.
This looks more like mine-I'll post a pic of mine later as -maybe it was changed.
