Used the renix temp sensor location, didn't feel like drilling my head.

Not as bad as I expected, temp in the block appears to be at most 4 degrees off from the thermostat housing (verified with IR gun). My temps are higher than they should be though, about 210* in town 220* - 230* highway. Ambient temp is still in high 90's low 100's here. Still running stock gears on 33's though, I'm in the middle of going to long arms and d30/d44 with 4.56.

Huh, I would have guessed block temps cooler than 4 degrees vs head temps.

I expected it to be off more myself. I tried the T coming off the thermostat housing but this seems to work better. I plan on getting an adapter for the heater hose that I can stick the sender in.
